With the theme “A Light of Connection Spreading from SAPPORO,” 2,000 LED balloons will float over Nakajima Park, creating a magical “river of light” across the park after dark. From 11:00 to 20:00, the event brings together the energy of the daytime with the beauty of the illuminated park at night.\n\n\n\nEvents on the Same Day\n\n\n\n\n11:00–20:00 Food trucks, with 10 vehicles / Horse interaction experience / Street performances\n\n\n\n14:00–17:30 Student collaboration event, “Dialogue Plaza”\n\n\n\n17:00–17:30 “Corridor of Light” illumination performance\n\n\n\n18:00–18:30 Candle Stream main event\n\n\n\n19:00–19:45 Special live performance by Sax Samurai\n\n\n\n\nSax Samurai's Performance\n\n\n\nThe 45-minute performance begins at 19:00 at the North Entrance Plaza of Nakajima Park. We have been given the beautiful time slot just after the river of light comes to life. This will be one of only a few opportunities to see Sax Samurai perform in Hokkaido.\n\n\n\nThe event's backup date is September 27, according to the organizers.\n\n\n\nThings to See Nearby\n\n\n\nNakajima Park is a large urban park located just south of Susukino. The park is home to Hoheikan, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, as well as a traditional Japanese garden. Its scenery changes beautifully with the seasons.\n\n\n\nNakajima Park Station on the Namboku Subway Line is just a short walk from the park. After the performance, Susukino is also within easy walking distance.\n
