The following information is updated based on reports from customers but situations may change. An "OK" does not guarantee entry. For those who wish to be absolutely certain, please confirm directly and then use the facilities.

Even at hot springs marked as "OK," there may be other users who dislike tattoos, so please use the facilities courteously and with a spirit of mutual concession for a pleasant experience.

In Hokkaido, if you venture a bit into the suburbs, there are many hot springs where you can enter without issue, even in "Susukino," which has seen an increase in foreign tourists, hot springs that allow tattoos are emerging.

I have met lots of people that can't go to hot springs because of their tattoos. I want to share useful info and hopefully more people can enjoy going to hot springs if they want to.

Dohoku (Northern Hokkaido)

Famous for the bathing scene in the drama "From the North Country" featuring actors Kunie Tanaka and Rie Miyazawa. (Actress Rie Miyazawa also has a tattoo.)

	Kamifurano	All Hot Springs and Public Baths in Kamifurano Area	Currently, there are no tattoo prohibition signs or regulations in the hot springs and public baths in this area (Frontier Furano Onsen, Kami Horo So, Hütte Baden Kamifurano, etc.). They are effectively tolerant. According to reports from local tattoo enthusiasts, they enter with tattoos and are completely ignored. Please stop by when enjoying sightseeing and powder sports in the area.

So happy to use it, became a member (free membership: bath discount, 5% off in-house dining).
