Every year, young people in Iwamizawa, an area of heavy snowfall, hold the Doka Snow Festival to enjoy winter and the snow.

At the venue, "pork miso soup" and "kiji nabe" will be served free of charge on the first and second days, respectively, and various events such as a giant slide, a jumbo karuta game, and a human banba championship will be held.
