By streetcar: About 10 minutes From Hakodate Ekimae tram stop, take the Hakodate Dotsukumae or Yachigashira tram bound, get off at Jujigai tram stop, and walk for about 10 minutes.
By car: About 60 minutes from Hokkaido Expressway Onuma Park IC.
By car: About 10 minutes from JR Hakodate Station.

Mt. Hakodate is one of the main sightseeing spots in Hakodate, due to it's spectacular night view and sunsets. Visitors can get to the observatory at the top of the mountain by ropeway or bus. From the observatory, you can see Hakodate Bay and the city surrounded by the Tsugaru Straits. It's a nice date spot. It has a gift shop, take-away shop, event hall, tea lounge and restaurant. You can also do duty free (tax-free) shopping here.
