Ice Cream Bar Milk Mura is a 1-min walk from the Susukino Station. It’s on the north side of route 36. Exit 1 is best if you are coming from the Susukino Subway station.

Read about this shop in Lonely Planet Japan and was excited to check it out as it sounded unique. The shop is somewhat challenging to find as the shop name is only listed on the street in Japanese (it is on the 6th floor of a building accessible from the street). The shop is small and quaint, with unusual decor of various ornaments and alcohol bottles.

The menu is simple and straightforward with either sets A, B or C to pick from. Set A is a combination of all the items offered. We ordered two A sets (¥1390).

You are given ice cream (soft serve) and two different types of liquor (you can pick from an extensive range on the menu) and also a variety of sides/toppings. You can also ask for another serving of ice cream free of charge.

Overall it is a pretty cool experience and something different to try out for dessert.
