Cape Notoro

The cape protrudes toward the Sea of Okhotsk and has only a 21 meter height lighthouse and an administration office on its tip. From this cape, you can see Lake Notoro and the coastline of Tokoro Town to the west, the Okhotsk Sea to the north and the Shiretoko Mountains to the east. In Japanese, it is called “Notoro Misaki”. It has a steep cliff about 60 meters high. But there is flat and wide grassland on the cliff. And the whole area of the cape is a pasture.
